| Red
Hook Competition (2008)
Design and feasibility studies for a bicycle master plan in Red Hook
Brooklyn, sponsored by The Forum for Urban Design. In addition to a
comprehensive bicycle master plan, the proposal included a bike loft
adjacent to the MTA subway station, and a series of bike “corrals” along
a newly designed bike path to create a streamlined model for connected
bikes to buses, water taxis, and pedestrian walkways. This proposal
to create the most bike-friendly and transit-connected neighborhood
in New York City received an Honorable Mention Award.
